Job summary

Thales Crawley is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to support an on-premise hosted AI platform within a hybrid working model. You will maintain core infrastructure, monitor health, perform patching and upgrades, and collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure reliability and security.

The role involves lifecycle management, documentation, and continuous improvement across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and containerised services, with opportunities to grow within the UK

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server operating systems.
• Experience with Unix-based operating systems, particularly RHEL.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and/or other hypervisors.
• Experience supporting containerised environments, particularly Kubernetes.
• Incident and problem management, troubleshooting and change management.
• Good understanding of core networking principles.
• Understanding of lifecycle management for platforms and infrastructure.
• Experience supporting infrastructure in enterprise or operational settings.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the infrastructure underpinning an on-premise hosted AI platform.
• Monitor platform health and performance and resolve issues in day-to-day support.
• Carry out routine maintenance, patching, upgrades and scale-out activities.
• Work with engineering, security and service teams to ensure a resilient platform.
• Contribute to technical documentation and operational standards.
