Job summary

Ticket Tailor is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Platform team in a hybrid-remote setup in London. You’ll own infrastructure end-to-end, working on systems from MySQL to ECS and Cloudflare, using Terraform and Datadog for reliability.

You’ll collaborate closely with product engineers, applying AI tools to amplify impact while keeping designs simple and scalable for a growing platform.

Qualifications

• Experience owning production infrastructure across AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, SQS).
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform estate maintenance.
• Strong relational database experience: migrations, failovers, performance tuning.
• In production, containerised environments experience.
• Interest in AI-native tooling and responsible use of agents in production.
• Solid system design judgment for scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure from MySQL to ECS and Cloudflare as code in Terraform.
• Own tooling ideas and implement them when impactful.
• Support reliability and observability with Datadog.
• Handle migrations, upgrades, incidents, and production troubleshooting calmly.
• Leverage AI tools to increase impact and efficiency.
• Make architecture decisions that stay simple and maintainable.
