Job summary

KPMG is hiring an Assistant Manager for National Security technology projects. The role focuses on simplifying complex environments, leveraging cloud in hybrid platforms, and delivering robust architectures. You will clarify client problems and help develop implementable solutions through robust analysis.

The role is based in London, Bristol or Manchester, with travel within the UK and client-site work likely. A National Security Vetting aligned to UK standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of engaging a broad range of client stakeholders and translating complex technical issues into implementable solutions.
• Exposure to delivering architectural solutions on cloud or hybrid environments and integrating new platforms into the wider enterprise.
• Cross-disciplinary capabilities in areas such as business analysis, solution architecture, data architecture and data science.
• Knowledge of traditional platform delivery and modern cloud-enabled operating models; contributing to operating model design and implementation.
• Understanding of major cloud platforms – Azure, GCP, with AWS/on‑premise knowledge advantageous.
• Experience using AI to solve business problems and integrating AI into enterprise environments.
• Experience reviewing platform strategy, roadmaps, data models, cloud integration and migration tools.
• Team player with ability to thrive in a diverse culture and motivate others.
• Ideally hold industry qualifications relevant to the role and seniority.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shaping roadmaps, implementation strategies, transformation plans and solution architectures.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues to maximise knowledge and experience.
• Build relationships with clients and partner organisations across projects.
• Contribute to propositions and assets with a National Security perspective.
