Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd in Walsall are seeking a Planning Technician to validate and register planning applications, answer technical enquiries and support the Planning and Building Control service. The contract is for 3 months in Walsall WS1 1TP.

Pay rate is £18.20 per hour PAYE with 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role offers hybrid work, with one day on site per week (Tuesday).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, A Levels or equivalent, or relevant experience in planning or Local Land Charges.
• Knowledge of planning functions and legislation, with the ability to interpret and measure technical plans and reports accurately.
• Strong IT, GIS, organisational and customer service skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Validate and register planning applications, including complex majors, checking fees, constraints, consultations and submission requirements.
• Maintain planning and GIS records, advise applicants, process appeals and conditions, and support site visits, Local Land Charges and Planning Committee work.
