Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Hybrid, Full-time Functional Specialist to assess disability allowances (PIP). You will handle end-to-end caseloads, performing in-person, video and telephone assessments, and producing detailed reports.

Requires registered professionals with NMC/HCPC, strong IT literacy and excellent communication skills. The role offers a starting salary of £39,500 with a potential rise to £40,500 after DWP approval, plus a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage caseloads end to end including face-to-face and virtual assessments.
• Conduct telephone assessments and initial review calls.
• Prepare paper-based reports (PBR) and comprehensive assessments.
• Assess a wide range of health conditions and disabilities.
• Allocate time for CPD, evidence review and team meetings.
