Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Physical and People Security Lead to shape in-house security capabilities across the Digital Services Directorate. You will develop and maintain security policies, standards and guidance, and provide direct advisory support for risk-based physical and people security measures while guiding incident response activities.

The role requires SC clearance (or willingness to obtain) and five years’ UK residency, with two days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• SC clearance required or willing to obtain.
• Experience in security senior management with physical and people security.
• Strong advisory capabilities across security domains.
• Ability to lead, communicate and influence at senior levels.
• Expertise in incident response, risk assessment and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Physical and People Security on behalf of Hd SO&I.
• Implement physical and people security controls, policies and standards.
• Plan and direct security risk assessments and investigations; implement lessons learned.
• Develop NH-wide incident response policies, plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with National Authorities and security forums.
