Pro‑Recruitment Group in Torquay is seeking a Payroll Administrator to support a professional payroll team and deliver accurate payroll services for a diverse client portfolio, with a strong focus on hospitality.

You will process payrolls, onboard new clients, ensure compliance with payroll legislation, and liaise with HMRC while building solid client relationships. The role offers hybrid working and a range of benefits and wellbeing initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and its practical application.
• Experience processing payrolls for multiple clients.
• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organisational skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Good IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Methodical, organised and proactive workload management.
• Polite, professional manner when dealing with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process a varied portfolio of client payrolls accurately and efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Onboard new client payrolls, ensuring data is accurate and set up correctly.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement changes accurately.
• Liaise with HMRC regarding employer payments and payroll queries.
• Act as main contact for designated portfolio, building strong client relationships.
• Respond to client queries promptly and professionally within timescales.
• Manage workloads independently to meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues, sharing knowledge and providing support.
