Job summary

Bath Spa University is seeking a Payroll & pensions Assistant to deliver accurate, efficient payroll and pensions services for over 2,200 employees. You’ll advise colleagues, support improvements and help ensure timely payments in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers hybrid working with 1–2 days in the office and flexible patterns while maintaining service cover. The ideal candidate has recent payroll experience, meticulous attention to detail, and experience with large payrolls.

Qualifications

• Recent, significant experience of payroll processing.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience working on large payrolls.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll and pension transactions accurately and within deadlines.
• Calculate and validate salary payments, deductions, pension contributions and payroll records.
• Support production, checking and reconciliation of outputs, reports and submissions, ensuring compliance.
