Job summary

RBKC is seeking a Payroll Officer to support the wellbeing of our workforce by getting the details right and delivering on time. Based in the Borough for three days a week, you will manage payroll for a diverse workforce and be the first point of contact for pay-related queries.

You will process day-to-day payroll transactions, handle deductions, overpayments and court orders, and help test and refine our new Oracle payroll system.

Qualifications

• Understanding of payroll systems and statutory processes (PAYE, NI, pensions)
• Proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day payroll transactions
• Respond to pay-related queries from employees, managers and external partners
• Handle overpayments, claims and court orders
• Test and refine the Oracle payroll system
• Help develop streamlined payroll processes for the future
• Based in the office three days a week
