Job summary

The Portfolio Group are recruiting a Payroll Officer for a 6 month FTC. You will be the on-site payroll focal point for blue-collar staff up to Superintendent level, using Kronos and the iTrend payroll system.

The role involves handling timecards, lodge payments, absences, holidays, and entitlements, with 3 days on site and 2 days working from home per week. You will resolve pay queries promptly, maintain detailed logs of enquiries, and ensure accurate data entry for payroll processing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or demonstrated capability.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills with MS Office proficiency.
• Experience in payroll with high-volume timesheets or multiple payrolls.
• Desirable knowledge of NAECI/JIB or engineering construction payrolls.

Responsibilities

• Collate time and attendance records and validate timecards.
• Operate Kronos workflow, add starters, remove leavers, and lodge payments.
• Investigate pay queries and resolve issues to maintain payroll accuracy.
• Input absence, holidays, lodge entitlements, and travel for payroll processing.
• Coordinate payroll activities using Kronos and iTrend systems.
