Môrwell Talent Solutions Ltd, in partnership with a public sector body, seeks a Part-Time Accountant for 30 hours per week in a hybrid setup in Torfaen, South Wales. The role covers corporate, treasury, capital and pension fund accounting within a local authority environment.

Fully qualified accountants with local government or public sector experience are preferred. The position offers either temporary-to-permanent or permanent appointment, with a salary circa £46,500 per annum FTE depending on

Formación

• Fully qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIPFA/CIMA.
• Experience in accountancy or financial reporting environment.
• Experience in local government or broader public sector.
• Exposure to pension accounting and pension-related processes.
• Strong analytical, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Corporate accounting: Preparation and publication of annual statutory accounts.
• Treasury management: Cash flow management and treasury reporting.
• Capital accounting: Coordinate capital programme activity with reporting.
• Pension Fund accounting: Pension fund reporting and reconciliations.
• Financial reporting and reconciliations: Balance sheet reconciliations and reliable records.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Statutory and regulatory returns: Ensure timely completion of returns.
• Audit and compliance: Liaise with auditors and maintain controls.
• Financial advice and support: Provide practical financial guidance to colleagues.
• Systems and processes: Develop and improve financial systems and processes.
