Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our specialist team supporting children and young people aged 0-18 with severe and complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions. The role involves holistic assessments, tailored intervention planning, and close collaboration with families and other health and housing professionals.

The post offers a hybrid working model with office time on site and community-based work, on a 37-hour week.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with registration.
• Excellent assessment and communication skills.
• Strong partnership-working abilities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake holistic assessments of children and young people.
• Develop tailored intervention plans and recommendations.
• Advise on equipment, adaptations and housing needs.
• Collaborate with families, carers and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Contribute to reports, reviews and case conferences.
• Support home and community living for complex needs.
