Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution seeks a Head of Operations for the East Midlands region, based at Alfreton. You will lead the electricity distribution network, supervise multiple sites, and report to the East Midlands Operations Director. The role blends office and home working with 3-4 days in the office.

You will drive performance, customer service, and safety culture while delivering on budgets and engineering strategy. Senior leadership and stakeholder liaison are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Leadership, Business Management preferred.
• A recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop operational managers in effectively undertaking their duties.
• Set objectives, monitor and drive performance and take accountability of Distribution activities in the Distribution Area.
• Coordinate the formulation of Capital and Revenue Budgets for the Distribution Area and monitor expenditure of these budgets.
• Ensure customers in the Distribution Area receive high standards of service and that complaints are resolved.
• Develop the Distribution System to be efficient and compliant with legislation and standards.
