Job summary

People Group Limited is seeking an Operations Manager for East London’s district energy network. You will lead multiple energy centres, supervise shift engineers and maintenance, and ensure safe, reliable supply while delivering budget performance.

The role is site-based with flexibility to work across locations and occasional remote work. You will drive maintenance delivery, asset performance, and safety compliance, while supporting growth projects and customer connections.

Qualifications

• Experience operating district energy networks.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and asset management.
• NEBOSH qualification desirable.
• Engineering qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of energy centres and district network infrastructure.
• Ensure continuity of heat, power and utility supply to customers.
• Coordinate activities across shift teams and maintenance functions with effective handovers.
