Job summary

lowRISC is seeking a Summer Intern in Cambridge to join our hardware engineering teams. You will gain hands-on experience in digital design and verification on open-source projects of commercial-grade quality, contributing to systems used in real silicon.

The role focuses on SystemVerilog workflows, testbenches with UVM, and Python tooling. We welcome 2nd-year Bachelors or higher, with interest in hardware design, and a proactive, collaborative approach; mentors will guide your growth.

Qualifications

• Students studying Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related fields 2nd year or higher, through Bachelor's or Master/PhD progress.
• Experience or interest in digital design or design verification.
• Comfort with a hardware description language and Python scripting for verification.
• Curious, proactive and collaborative problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams with hands-on hardware design and verification tasks.
• Work on digital design workflows using SystemVerilog or equivalent.
• Develop testbenches and automated verification scripts using UVM or equivalent.
• Contribute to open-source repositories and project documentation.
