Job summary

lowRISC CIC in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our engineering team and deliver complex silicon subsystem and chip design projects. This hybrid/on-site role coordinates delivery with open source silicon designers and commercial partners.

You will plan, track, and manage projects across digital design, FPGA, and firmware domains, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and draft Statements of Work while ensuring risk management and grant-funded research

Qualifications

• 3+ years project management experience in highly technical environments.
• Strong planning and delivery management practices.
• Experience coordinating hardware development processes (digital design, FPGA, silicon design flows, firmware/software).
• Experience enabling cross-functional collaboration across technical teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, track, and manage complex subsystem and chip design projects for major commercial customers.
• Apply structured project planning tools and coordinate with engineering teams on silicon and embedded software projects.
• Align internal design, verification, and embedded software teams with external silicon partners and academic collaborators.
• Draft and execute Statements of Work (SoWs), manage scope changes, and track risk.
• Manage tracking and compliance for grant-funded R&D projects.
