Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Healthcare Practitioner - Nurse in Wrexham to perform clinical reviews and provide case managers with advice on PIP referrals. The role includes a six-week training plan, then ongoing support and mentorship, with flexible working options (full-time, part-time and hybrid).

You will conduct assessments via telephone, video or in-person and prepare detailed WCA reports for DWP decisions, contributing to service improvements and professional development within the team.

Qualifications

• Registered with the NMC and in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the DWP determine eligibility for benefits.
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
