Job summary

Maximus in the UK is hiring a WCA Registered Nurse - Hybrid in Shrewsbury to conduct Work Capability Assessments and support DWP decision making. You’ll combine clinical expertise with effective communication to review complaints and provide case-manager guidance.

The role includes formal training, ongoing mentorship, flexible full- or part-time hybrid working, and a salary around £39,500 with CPD support and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration
• At least 1 year post-registration experience in adult or mental health
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not available
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects daily life
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help DWP determine eligibility for benefits
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision
