Job summary
Allianz UK is seeking an Underwriter for a hybrid role based in Chelmsford or London, attending the office one day per week. You will support the Lead Underwriter in managing the Non-Standard portfolio, driving profitable growth while ensuring high-quality service for customers and brokers.
The role requires underwriting experience, data analysis skills, and strong stakeholder management. You’ll work across teams to improve processes and pricing, with a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Experience in underwriting, product development, or related technical roles.
- Ability to interpret MI and data to identify risks and opportunities.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of underwriting appetite, governance, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support Lead Underwriters in broker relationships, portfolio performance, and MI analysis.
- Apply underwriting expertise to assess risks and support decisions.
- Monitor market activity, regulatory changes and product performance.
- Maintain product accuracy, underwriting guides, and documentation.
- Support pricing activity by reviewing models and rate guides.
- Identify improvements and help deliver efficient underwriting solutions.
