Allianz UK is seeking a Head of Pricing & Underwriting – Broker Non-Standard to shape strategy and steer execution across pricing and underwriting. Based in London or Chelmsford, the role is hybrid with 50% office attendance. You will lead a senior team, drive market insight, and ensure compliant, profitable portfolio management.

The role demands senior leadership, strong stakeholder management, and a track record of delivering pricing excellence in non-standard broker portfolios.

Qualifications

• Requires strong leadership within pricing, underwriting or portfolio management.
• Significant UK broker insurance market experience.
• Deep knowledge of non-standard insurance portfolios and broker distribution models.
• Strong pricing performance and profitability management skills.
• Experience with financial plans, forecasts and KPIs.
• Familiarity with UK insurance regulation and fair customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the strategic vision for the Broker Non-Standard portfolio, aligning pricing and underwriting with business objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing management team and build future talent pipelines.
• Monitor market trends, broker activity, competitor movements and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Drive innovation across pricing and underwriting practices to improve capability and outcomes.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, industry bodies and key stakeholders.
• Lead change initiatives and ensure successful implementation of new processes, systems and ways of working.
