Wilson Sonsini is seeking a New Business & Conflicts Analyst to support its risk management team. You will identify and resolve potential conflicts arising from new client intake, new matter openings, and lateral hires, while performing AML/KYC checks on prospective clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years in law firm conflicts, risk, or business intake preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interact professionally with attorneys and staff.
• Sound judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct conflicts of interest searches for new client intake, new matter openings, and lateral attorney/staff hires.
• Analyze search results to identify potential conflicts for relevant hit selections.
• Perform corporate research and AML/KYC checks on prospective clients.
• Process new client and new matter intake, ensuring accurate entry into the intake database.
• Liaise with attorneys, billing, and admin to gather information to clear and open new clients and matters.
• Support process improvements and assist with special projects as assigned.
