Job summary

Whitbread PLC in the UK is hiring a Network Engineer to own and evolve Whitbread's network estate across SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, WiFi, cloud and telephony. You will design, implement and support scalable network solutions while ensuring performance and security for over 1,200 locations.

You’ll provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, collaborate with architects, security teams and suppliers, and take part in major incidents, capacity planning and disaster recovery testing as part of

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba or Meraki infrastructure.
Strong networking expertise including SD-WAN, SD-Access, TCP/IP and OSI models.
Experience with routing, switching and security technologies including BGP, OSPF, IPsec and QoS.
Strong troubleshooting, monitoring and network performance management skills.

Responsibilities

Performance, reliability and future development of Whitbread's network infrastructure across SD-WAN, LAN, WAN, WiFi, cloud and telephony.
Design, implement and support scalable network solutions to keep the business connected and secure.
Provide technical leadership, escalation point, mentor junior engineers and work with architects, security and suppliers.
Involve in major incidents, lifecycle management, capacity planning, disaster recovery testing and strategic tech projects.
