Job summary

Indigo is seeking a Network Engineer to deploy, maintain and optimise network infrastructure across data centre and cloud environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure availability, performance and security, and contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is hybrid with three days in the office and participation in an on-call rota to support business and customer requirements. Strong CCNA knowledge and Fortinet experience are essential.

Qualifications

• CCNA-level networking knowledge required.
• Strong routing, switching and network security understanding.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and security technologies.
• Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls and monitoring tools.
• Linux administration and network diagnostic tooling familiarity.
• Scripting in Python or similar language.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain network infrastructure across data centre and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching and security technologies in on-premise and cloud.
• Implement Fortinet-based security solutions, VPNs and firewall policies.
• Monitor performance, availability and capacity; address issues proactively.
• Develop automation and remediation scripts to improve efficiency.
• Support upgrades, patching and infrastructure projects.
• Assist data centre activities including rack installation and asset management.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and procedures.
• Follow ITIL-aligned change, incident and problem processes.
• Provide Level 2 support to NOC and Security teams.
• Participate in on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work.
