Job summary

Fortice in Bristol is seeking an Infrastructure/DevOps engineer to balance cloud and on‑prem work, including edge deployment in low-connectivity environments. You’ll automate, deploy, and improve systems that support information services and ML workloads.

The role blends cloud platforms with networking and security expertise, working across software, infrastructure and integration to make deployments reliable and observable.

Qualifications

• Experience bridging cloud and on‑prem environments is valuable.
• Familiarity with edge deployment scenarios and disconnected environments preferred.
• Knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud platforms for ongoing projects.
• Automate and implement Infrastructure as Code to create reliable systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve testing and release processes.
• Provide expertise on networks, security and databases for the stack.
