Job summary

Ashdown Group is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a Central London hybrid role, focusing on Fortinet technologies. You will design, implement, and support secure network environments, ensuring resilience and high performance.

Key responsibilities include configuring FortiGate firewalls, managing VPNs and routing, monitoring security, and assisting with infrastructure projects. Strong Fortinet expertise and solid TCP/IP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Strong Network Engineer experience with Fortinet/FortiGate environments.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and switching.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, NAT and network security.
Experience troubleshooting complex network issues.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Configure, manage and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls and Fortinet security solutions.
Manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, routing and security rules.
Support LAN/WAN, switching, routing and network security infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, availability and security.
Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and outages.
Perform network changes, upgrades and security improvements.
Assist with network design, documentation and infrastructure projects.
Ensure network environments meet security and operational standards.
