MBDA UK is hiring a Network DevOps Engineer in Bristol to drive modernization of network management and automation across our Digital Networks function. You will build and maintain software and pipelines that support our physical and virtual infrastructure, applying standard software engineering practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with network specialists, developing Python tools, CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, and upskilling team members.

Competenze

• Advanced proficiency in Python with solid software engineering concepts.
• Strong Python testing methodologies and testable code design.
• Experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs with Django REST Framework, FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Proficiency with data structures, serialization, and templating (JSON, YAML, Jinja2).
• In-depth understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience using Git and GitLab for version control.
• Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Hands-on experience using Ansible for network automation.
• Knowledge of core networking principles and ability to collaborate with network specialists.

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software and tools to manage network infrastructure at scale.
• Champion software engineering best practices: code reviews, testing, clean maintainable code.
• Establish automated testing strategy and select best tools/frameworks.
• Manage and extend network Source of Truth with data models, plugins, automation jobs.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Develop Ansible playbooks/roles for network configuration and reliability.
• Upskill team members to advance software engineering capabilities.
