Job summary

MBDA in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure and Software Support Engineer to support our Software Engineering Environments team. The role blends networking, Linux system support, security awareness, and artefact governance.

You will diagnose infrastructure and connectivity issues across development environments, while contributing to software release and supply chain processes, in a hybrid on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting concepts.
• Experience supporting Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu or similar).
• Strong problem solving and diagnosing skills.
• Ability to work across multiple technical disciplines.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Understanding of Open Source software packages and security threats to the Software Supply Chain.
• Experience working with Artifactory.
• Exposure to VMware or virtualisation environments.
• Understanding of security principles and secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate connectivity, systems and infrastructure issues.
• Coordinate diagnosis with IT, Network, Security and Infrastructure teams to resolution.
• Support maintenance and improvement activities across environments.
• Assist with software release and archive processes.
• Contribute to Software Supply Chain management processes.
