Job summary

Time Recruitment is seeking a Mortgage Underwriter for Manchester City Centre. You will own a pipeline of second charge mortgage applications from submission to decision, assessing cases and ensuring compliant lending while delivering great customer outcomes.

Work with brokers, advisers and customers to deliver a smooth underwriting journey. Hybrid options available after probation, with a competitive bonus and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

Experience in loan processing or underwriting in a regulated environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document review.
Ability to maintain high standards of customer service under pressure.

Responsibilities

Manually assess and underwrite second charge mortgage applications.
Review and verify financial information and supporting documentation.
Request additional evidence where required and challenge information appropriately.
Make fair and balanced lending decisions based on customer circumstances.
Maintain accurate and detailed application records.
Liaise with customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders throughout the process.
Ensure regulatory compliance and company standards are met.
Deliver against performance targets and quality measures.
Promote positive customer outcomes at all stages.
