Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is recruiting a Mortgage Underwriter for Manchester city centre.

You will own a pipeline of second charge mortgage applications from submission through to final decision, assessing cases, analysing documents, and making responsible lending decisions in collaboration with brokers and customers. This role offers a competitive base salary (£32,500) with a bonus potential, hybrid working options after probation, and clear career progression.

Qualifications

The Opportunity

As a Mortgage Underwriter, you'll take ownership of a pipeline of second charge mortgage applications from submission through to final decision. You'll assess cases individually, analyse supporting documentation, and make responsible lending decisions while ensuring outstanding customer outcomes. Working closely with brokers, advisers, and customers, you'll play a key role in delivering a smooth, efficient, and compliant lending journey.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• At least 12 months' experience assessing or processing loan applications.
• Previous experience within second charge lending, specialist lending, motor finance, or a similar regulated environment.
• Experience working within a KPI-driven, target-focused environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Understanding of adverse credit profiles and vulnerable customer considerations.
