Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley in the UK is seeking a site-based MEP Engineer to shape mechanical, electrical and process functions on water projects. You will help define commissioning strategy and work with design, construction and client teams.

The role requires ONC/HNC in M/E/P, water industry experience preferred, strong problem solving, good organisation, driving licence and willingness to travel. You’ll also support testing and handover activities with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
• MEP experience in the water industry is desirable.
• Understand MEP principles across civil projects life cycle.
• Strong organisation and problem solving; fault finding on control systems.
• Good communication with team members and stakeholders; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and program the MEP aspects of projects with design and operations teams.
• Oversee subcontractors, ensure installations meet standards, and conduct testing.
• Create commissioning plans, testing records, and handover documents.
• Integrate design, construction and commissioning of plant across water projects.
• Contribute to successful handover and final client acceptance.
