Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Librarian to join the Library and Knowledge Services team at The Curve Library in Prestwich. You will support staff, students and service users by providing literature searches, evidence-based resources and training sessions both in person and online.

You will contribute to current awareness bulletins, manage e-resources, and help develop stock policies while promoting the LKS across the Trust footprint.

Qualifications

• Deliver expert literature searching across a range of topics.
• Provide one-to-one and group training sessions (face to face and virtual).
• Promote the Library and Knowledge Service across the Trust.
• Create current awareness bulletins on mental health topics.
• Support management of e-resources and stock catalogue.
• Collect feedback to ensure user-focused services.
• Maintain and develop the library website/intranet.

Responsibilities

• Deliver literature search services to clinical and non-clinical staff, including complex queries.
• Lead training and induction sessions, adapting to in-person and remote formats.
• Promote LKS across Trust and attend meetings to raise visibility.
• Produce evidence bulletins and knowledge updates for users.
• Assist with LMS stock management and e-resource troubleshooting.
• Update LKS webpages and ensure user feedback is acted on.
