Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Library Assistant and Digital Enabler to support the Knowledge and Library Service (KLS), helping staff access articles, evidence and resources and delivering quality customer service.

You will manage the day-to-day running of the physical library, catalogue using Koha, support laptop loans, develop digital and physical collections, and work within a multiprofessional team to meet information needs of STH staff.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths at C/4 or above
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
• IT qualification (ECDL or MS Office) or equivalent
• Evidence of continued professional development

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of library and knowledge services for STH staff
• Develop, organise and promote digital and physical collections
• Run the day-to-day operations of the physical library (enquiries, registrations, circulation, shelving)
• Purchase new titles aligned with organisational needs
• Catalogue new books with Koha and classify stock
• Manage laptop loans via Koha for Learning and Development
• Oversee article request service to source papers for clinicians
