Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to join a respected Building Services contractor based in London with hybrid working. The role covers estimating HVAC, plumbing, pipework and related systems for commercial projects, with a strong focus on accuracy, cost control, and tender delivery.

You will read drawings, prepare tenders, liaise with suppliers and project teams, and contribute to value engineering while targeting a competitive, high-quality bid process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Estimator in building services or construction.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate mechanical cost estimates for building services projects.
• Prepare tenders covering HVAC, plumbing, and pipework systems.
• Review drawings, specs and tender docs for clarity and completeness.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and commercial teams.
