Job summary

Brookfield M&E Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our established team on a hybrid basis. You will manage tenders from enquiry to submission, producing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for mechanical building-services packages.

The role covers high-quality office fit-outs, retail and refurbishments across London, with responsibilities including take-offs, supplier quotations, and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical estimating experience required.
• Good supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Produce detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans.
• Complete accurate material and labour take-offs.
• Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender submissions and pricing schedules.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities.
• Attend tender interviews, site visits and client meetings.
• Liaise with project managers, directors and commercial teams.
• Manage multiple tenders and meet submission deadlines.
• Support projects through pre-construction and handover.

Job description

Hybrid Mechanical Estimator required. We are currenlty looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator for a established mechanical and electrical contractor in London.

This is an exellent opportunities to work on a range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across London.

The successful Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission, producing accurate and commercially competitive estimates for mechanical building-services packages.

The role will cover projects including high-quality office fit-outs, retail and commercial refurbishments. Mechanical packages will typically include HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, pipe work and plumbing.

Key responsibilities:

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Producing detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans
• Completing accurate material and labour take-offs
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Preparing tender submissions and pricing schedules
• Identifying value-engineering opportunities
