Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International, is seeking a Construction Planner at Hinkley Point C near Bridgwater, Somerset. This full-time role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed mechanical construction schedules to support the programme.

You will work 37 hours a week, with flexible patterns including four days onsite and one day remote, coordinating with engineering, materials and delivery teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within a construction planning environment.
• Experience producing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
• Experience using Primavera P6 planning software.
• Experience working on large-scale construction, engineering, maintenance, outage or shutdown projects.
• Experience working in a site-based project environment and engaging with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining detailed mechanical construction schedules aligned to programme objectives.
• Preparing and updating four-week lookahead plans and supporting longer-term planning activities.
• Monitoring progress against planned outputs and providing accurate, evidence-based schedule updates.
• Integrating engineering, materials, resources, access, quality and commissioning requirements into construction plans.
• Confirming activity readiness and collaborating with construction and delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks.
