Job summary

Arriva UK Bus Limited is seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join the UK Bus Finance Shared Services team within Record-to-Report (R2R). The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of three days in the Thurmaston office and immediate start preferred for the right candidate.

You’ll own key month-end activities, support monthly management accounts and period-end reporting, and assist with statutory and group reporting while collaborating closely with Finance Partners to drive process

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Experience in management accounting or financial accounting environment.
• Strong month-end, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations knowledge.
• Good Excel and confidence with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key month-end activities including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Support production of monthly management accounts and period-end reporting.
• Assist with statutory, tax and group reporting requirements.
• Provide information for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and Shared Services colleagues.
• Maintain process documentation and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardise and simplify R2R processes.
• Provide flexible support across the wider finance team during busy periods.
