Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Dudley, Lichfield, West Brom and surrounding areas. You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance to keep stores safe, compliant and welcoming for customers and colleagues.

You will work with external contractors, coordinate repairs and balance workloads across sites, while using modern digital tools to record updates and schedules. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety principles.
• Digital confidence with Office 365 and mobile devices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and technical development.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with external contractors and coordinate repairs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent service and share knowledge.
• Manage a varied workload, balancing planned maintenance with reactive repairs.
• Support store leadership by keeping equipment and facilities safe and operational.
• Deliver maintenance to minimise disruption for customers and colleagues.
• Ensure Tesco sites remain safe, compliant and welcoming.
• Follow planned work schedules for efficient repairs.
• Carry out general property and store maintenance.
• Use mobile technology to manage schedules and record updates.
• Represent Tesco’s values by serving customers and communities.
• Contribute ideas through local and national meetings.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone is welcome.
