Job summary

Waverley Borough Council is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of gas, electrical, and lifting equipment upgrade programs within Housing Maintenance. You will manage two Compliance Officers and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with current regulations and council policies.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering regulatory compliant M&E capital programs.
• Ability to manage a small team of compliance officers and contractors.
• Strong procurement and contract tender skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of gas, electrical and lifting equipment upgrade programs.
• Manage two Compliance Officers and liaise with multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Ensure value-for-money delivery and contractor performance across upgrades.
• Direct electrical capital works including major rewires and fire alarm installs.
• Support senior living schemes and communal properties with plant room works.
