Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Key Account Executive in London to scale our European business, owning end-to-end deal cycles with enterprise customers in fintech and payments.

You will work with product, legal, compliance, and delivery to define solutions, manage pipeline in Salesforce, and partner with leadership to drive revenue.

The role is hybrid, with on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays within 35 miles of London, and a remote-friendly schedule.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sales/BD roles; payments/fintech background preferred.
• Deep understanding of payments ecosystem and card issuing.
• Strong fintech familiarity for B2B tech.
• Finance-minded with ability to model proposals.
• Confident engaging with C-suite executives.
• Able to manage multiple projects against tight timelines.
• Excellent communication across teams.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude.
• Virtual onsite interviews and presentation rounds.
• Offer process management.

Responsibilities

• Close and onboard enterprise customers end-to-end in a complex platform environment.
• Qualify leads, assess needs, and respond to information requests.
• Lead the sales process from initial engagement to contract.
• Coordinate with Legal for contracting.
• Develop and present Marqeta's value proposition to executives.
• Collaborate with internal SMEs to tailor solutions.
