Job summary

Edwards & Pearce is recruiting a Lighting Design Engineer for a family-run UK-based manufacturer. The role is hybrid with responsibilities spanning from concept to delivery of detailed lighting layouts and specifications.

The candidate should have at least 2 years in lighting design, be proficient with Relux, and show strong understanding of lighting fundamentals, budgets, and client communications. Hybrid working and pension are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a good understanding of lighting fundamentals & specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with close attention to detail.
• Organisational and numerical skills to manage projects & budgets.
• Previous experience working as a Lighting Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lighting layouts for internal and external applications using Relux software.
• Produce accurate, compliant lighting plans, ensuring designs meet current regulations.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to explore ideas and develop concepts.
• Oversee and deliver lighting design projects from concept to completion with polished presentations.
• Contribute to team discussions and support successful project execution.
• Ensure all designs meet regulatory and compliance standards with the technical team.
