Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Lighting Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary lighting team. You will produce detailed lighting layouts, manage design documentation, and liaise with clients, authorities, and manufacturers to deliver high-quality schemes.

You will work within a supportive, global network, with opportunities for membership, CPD, and career development, while benefiting from our hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

• Proficient in lighting design from conception to construction issue

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed design layouts, engineering drawings and support documentation
• Prepare feasibility reports and option studies
• Engage with luminaire, column, controls and electrical manufacturers
• Coordinate with contractors and respond to RFIs and TQs
• Perform non-intrusive site visits to support lighting assessments
• Support development of proposals and progress against milestones
• Liaise with Local Authority and SRN clients
• Mentor junior team members and participate in CPD
• Represent WSP in lighting industry and drive business development
