Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Junior Applications Engineer in Redditch, offering hybrid/remote working options and a strong training path. You will develop specialist design skills for tunnel and exterior lighting projects, supported by in-house training and real responsibility from day one.

The role focuses on lighting design, AutoCAD documentation, and contact with internal stakeholders and customers, with paid overtime and a bonus scheme. A long-term progression path is emphasised.

Qualifications

• Junior-level technical engineering background (open to graduates).
• AutoCAD knowledge is required.
• Confident using Excel with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lighting design / project support for tunnel, handrail and exterior lighting projects (Dialux / Relux / Relux Tunnel where applicable).
• Create / edit drawings and documentation using AutoCAD; produce design reports / proposals and support quotations / CRM updates.
• Hybrid / remote with site visits for surveys/meetings/commissioning; some unsociable hours (night/weekend) with paid overtime.
