Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Principal Civil Technician to join our Christchurch-based team in a hybrid role. You will deliver development infrastructure schemes, produce detailed drawings and coordinate with a multidisciplinary group across the UK.

The role emphasises ownership of technical design packages, mentoring junior staff and progression within a varied workload including residential, commercial and major developments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Highway Technician or Senior Highway Technician.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Producing, reviewing and coordinating highway and civil engineering drawings for development infrastructure schemes.
• Preparing detailed drawing packages for Section 278 and Section 38 technical submissions.
• Producing highway layouts, general arrangements, setting-out drawings, long sections and cross sections.
• Preparing construction details and associated technical plans.
• Using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce accurate design information.
• Developing Civil 3D models including surfaces, alignments, corridors, grading and earthworks.
• Coordinating designs with Transport Planners, Engineers and other disciplines.
• Managing drawing packages and technical tasks against programmes.
• Checking work and mentoring junior technicians.
