Job summary

Tide Services Ltd (Digdat product team) is hiring a Junior Product Owner to work across Utilities and Communications product streams. You’ll shape, prioritise and deliver features with support from an experienced Product Owner, helping turn customer needs into tangible improvements.

Ideal for someone early in their product career who is curious, tech-savvy and eager to learn. Hybrid role with 1–2 days per week in the Huntingdon office; 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Curious, organised and confident with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Experience in product, business analysis, project delivery or software environment.
• Interest in digital products, technology and user-centred design.
• Ability to write or support creation of user stories, requirements or acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex concepts into clear outputs.
• Ability to triage and prioritise work when managing multiple options or demands.
• Good organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking and practical problem solving.
• Awareness of Agile ways of working.
• Willingness to learn and grow into broader product ownership responsibilities.
• Experience using Jira or similar backlog tool.
• Experience in utilities, mapping, GIS, asset data, communications or customer service platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of Digdat’s products, user journeys and technical landscape.
• Support discovery, delivery and continuous improvement across Utilities and Communications.
• Gather, organise and clarify requirements from stakeholders.
• Support backlog management, refinement, prioritisation and sprint planning.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and product documentation.
• Organise user story mapping and requirement workshops.
• Work with developers, testers, UX/UI designers and spatial specialists to clarify needs.
• Support testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage and release readiness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives).
• Communicate progress, questions and decisions clearly with teams and stakeholders.
