Job summary

Railpen is seeking a Level 1 Business Analyst to turn business needs into clear requirements within the Change & Transformation portfolio. You’ll work with experienced colleagues to document and deliver improvements across projects and smaller change initiatives.

You'll map processes, capture data, support testing, and coordinate stakeholder input while developing your BA capability through coaching and community participation.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping or data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for business and technical audiences.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
• Structured, evidence-based approach to problem solving.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and develop independence.

Responsibilities

• Support gathering, analysis and documentation of business requirements.
• Map processes, capture data and analyze information to identify issues and improvements.
• Produce and maintain project documentation and process maps.
• Coordinate stakeholder input, workshops and follow-ups.
• Support definition and sign-off of requirements per governance standards and timelines.
• Assist with testing preparation including drafting test scenarios and evidence gathering.
• Communicate progress updates to stakeholders and users.
• Build BA capability through coaching and participation in the BA community.
