AWD online is hiring a Junior IT Support Technician / Service Desk Analyst in Bristol. This entry-level role offers full training, a hybrid work setup, and a fixed-term contract with potential for permanence.

You will handle incidents, requests and access, while building practical IT support skills within a collaborative managed services team. The position emphasises strong communication, problem-solving, and computer literacy, with a salary up to £28,000 and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Entry-level IT support exposure or internship.
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Log, manage and progress incidents and approved service requests in line with procedures, SLAs and KPIs.
• Provide telephone or chat support, keep clients informed and communicate complex incidents clearly.
• Monitor client infrastructure, identify recurring incidents and escalate when necessary.
• Follow handover procedures to maintain service continuity and highlight key tickets.
• Update and create knowledge articles and documentation, respecting IP and licensing.
• Identify opportunities to optimise work and automate request fulfilment and incident resolution.
• Follow information security and data privacy policies and framework.
• Support ESG objectives and contribute to personal ESG development through performance management.
