Job summary

Sovereign Network Group is seeking an experienced Head of IT Service & Secure Operations to lead the delivery, security and continual improvement of core technology services from Basingstoke or Wembley, with hybrid work and regular travel between offices.

The role combines strategic leadership of Service Desk, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations and Cyber Security, with an emphasis on efficiency, automation and value realization for the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a senior IT Operations/Service role within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong background in ITIL and service management practices.
• Experience leading Service Desk, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations and Cyber Security Operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop the operational strategy for IT Services and Secure Operations, aligning with business priorities.
• Lead the IT Service and Secure Operations teams, providing vision, direction and performance coaching.
• Act as service owner for operational IT services, ensuring quality and maturity.
• Lead major incident responses with robust monitoring, controls, resilience and business continuity.
• Oversee Service Desk performance and drive self-service and automation initiatives.
• Develop cyber security capability across monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Own strategy and continual improvement of cloud infrastructure and workplace technology services.
