Job summary

Comtecs Ltd seeks an experienced Network Systems Administrator/IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to own and support its Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 environments across London and New York offices.

You will maintain Hyper-V, LAN/WAN, VPN, Sage and SQL Server, with exposure to Azure, Entra ID and Intune. This hands-on role covers security, data integrity and business applications in a small to mid-sized SME.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, desktop and network environments.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and Microsoft 365.
• Good networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls.
• Experience with virtual environments, ideally Hyper-V.
• Experience supporting database-backed business applications (SQL Server, Sage).
• Azure/Entra ID/Intune experience useful.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on desktop and infrastructure support for Windows and Mac laptops/desktops in London and New York.
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy; manage file storage and permissions.
• Manage Microsoft 365 users, licenses, email and cloud services.
• Maintain Hyper-V servers, remote desktop services and related infrastructure.
• Support LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, Firewall, VPN connectivity and office telephony.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Maintain endpoint security, system updates and access controls.
