Job summary

Gumtree is seeking a Field Engineer / 2nd Line Support Engineer to support Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas. The role combines remote service desk tasks with on-site engineering, with travel to customer sites across Aylesbury, Thame, Milton Keynes and London as needed.

You will join a busy MSP support team, delivering high-quality technical support across Windows environments, Microsoft 365, AD and cloud technologies, while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• MSP environment experience preferred.
• Strong 2nd Line support and Windows troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, AD and Azure.
• Good understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent customer-facing communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Line technical support via the service desk.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and end-user issues.
• Build, configure and deploy laptops/desktops.
• Diagnose and resolve device failures and hardware faults.
• Carry out on-site support visits and technical call-outs.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments and core infrastructure.
