Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited offers an undergraduate internship in the Fuel & Inerting Systems domain, based in Bristol. The placement lasts about 12.5 months, with a start date in August 2027 and close attention to safety and integrity in engineering work.

You will join a world-leading team, gaining hands-on experience in fuel system design, simulations and development across aircraft programs. The role emphasises collaboration, learning and contributing to innovative sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only; must remain an undergraduate for the whole placement.
• Study areas include Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Computer Modelling, Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Strong curiosity, teamwork and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Fluid Mechanical and Fuel Systems design activities within Airbus' Fuel & Inerting Systems team.
• Contribute to engineering studies, simulations and development relevant to current and future aircraft fuel systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders across Airbus during the placement.
